  • Solid Ground

    When the sands shift
    In the desert
    The sun can appear
    To be setting
    Much closer
    Or farther away.

    What is it
    That troubles us?
    Time,
    or
    Location?

    The Agony of Light

    When light shines
    In a dark place,
    No matter how lovingly,
    It discomforts
    Those nestled there.

    The agony
    of incompetent kings and queens
    Who refuse to surrender
    Is never-ending
    Desperation.

    They will believe anything
    Anything
    Proudly
    In the dark
    Who refuse Light

  • i like these, nice to read your xanga words :sunny:

one thing i've noticed regarding the first poem and that i've been allowing my mind to digest is that time and space are illusions, the veil, the forgetting, the realm between sleep and dreaming and how much we navigate through it to have some connection access to both worlds at once.  i actually had an experience recently where i skipped the haze between sleep and awake and it was surreal, like a lucid dream.
